Cod with orange oil, easy and healthy fish recipe

Ingredients:

Cod fillet — 4 pieces of 150-180 g
Butter — 100 g
Thyme — 10 Sprigs
Grated orange peel — out of 1 pc.
Garlic — 2 cloves
Ground hot red pepper — 0.25 tsp.
Lemon juice — 1 tsp.
Salt, freshly ground black pepper — to taste

Cooking:

With thyme sprigs to break off the leaves. Peel garlic cloves, cut into very small pieces with a sharp knife.

  1. Cut butter into small cubes.
  2. Put a frying pan on the stove, set a low heat and send oil to the frying pan. Melt. When the butter is melted, send thyme to it and warm it until the butter becomes a beautiful golden color, it takes just 5 minutes. Remove the pan from the stove. To rub the zest from one orange with a special knife to remove the zest or with the help of a fine grater. Send zest to butter, salt. Pour the oil into a separate bowl.
  3. Rinse fish fillets, dry with paper towels, sprinkle with salt and freshly ground black pepper from all sides, pour with lemon juice.
  4. Put the pan in which the fragrant oil was prepared, put on a moderate heat, send the garlic and hot pepper to the pan, fry everything until the aroma appears, stirring with a spatula.
  5. Place the fish in a frying pan and fry on each side until fully cooked — about 3 minutes. Pour the oil into the pan. Warm up everything a little, constantly pouring oil over the fish, then put the fish on a la carte plates and pour over the oil again. Serve with your favorite side dish. The ideal accompaniment to such fish is boiled rice or fresh vegetable salad.
